ABOUT JULIE
"Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.” - Golda Meir
With a degree in Psychology and more than twenty years in hospitality including, Director of Operations for Bradley Ogden Hospitality, General Manager at Samovar Tea Lounge, Director of Catering for Kristen Winston, Director of Marketing at Olema Druids Hall, and Senior Manager at Greens Restaurant, I had achieved a great deal, but was no longer finding joy in my work. After losing my sister-in-law to cancer and caring for my husband after emergency open heart surgery within the same year, I experienced a quiet transformation. It was an awakening; a slow and steady voice inside of me asking me to show up and define my life’s work. Coming face to face with death caused me to think deeply about the meaning of my own existence and purpose. My focus went deep inside and I began creating my life from the inside out.
Simply moving towards my passion was automatic and after completing a plant-based nutrition certification from Cornell University's T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and the Forks Over Knives whole food, plant-based meal creation course, my life began to change. I realized the power of being intentional. Moving forward while letting go has become my mantra. Food is a wonderful starting point because conscious and mindful consumption naturally extends to all areas of your life. Caring, love and kindness always leads to more.
Health and wellness is a way of life and a deep relationship that you form with your body. Plant-based eating is built on compassion; respect towards yourself, animals and our planet. Transformation is not easy but we are all worth it and deserve to experience happiness. Wherever you are in your journey and whatever road you are traveling on, I look forward to supporting you. I will help you create solutions honoring you in all aspects of life, including health, wellness, weight management, fitness, and spiritual self-care.
